Creamy Bacon and Chicken Pasta

  2. Frying Pan
  3. Sieve
  4. Woodenspoon
  5. Teaspoon

Ingredients

  1. 500g Penne/ Spirali pasta
  2. 2 Chicken Breasts
  3. 150 g Pancetta
  4. 500 ml Whole Milk
  5. 1 tsp flour
  6. 1tsp butter
  7. All purpose seasoning
  8. Mixed herbs
  9. 250g Grated Cheddar and Mozarella Cheese
  10. Sunflower oil
  11. Salt
  12. Maggi
  13. Black pepper/ Chilli flakes
  14. Broccoli (optional side)

Instructions

  • Boil your pasta in the saucepan as per manufacturers instructions
  • Strain the pasta and set aside (Tip : Rinse in cold water and strain again , this prevents the pasta from sticking together)
  • In the frying pan add your sunflower oil on a high heat cook your chicken , season with a maggi cube and fry till its golden brown then add the pancetta
  • When the meats are cooked , remove the chicken and bacon from the pan and put onto a plate for later
  • Keep the fat in the pan and add the butter on a medium heat , when it has melted add the flour
  • Add flour and stir vigourously , add the milk , and continue to stir until it comes a bubble , leave to simmer for 5 minutes
  • Add the pasta and combine , add the cheese and combine again
  • Season to your taste with all purpose seasoning / salt / pepper/ chilli flakes / mixed herbs etc
  • I like to meal prep mine with steamed broccoli
